I have totally loved the senior's we have worked with this year! Ana is a senior at South, I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites. She was fabulous to work with!!!

this one totally reminds me of an old Cindy Sherman photo, I must have it catalogued in my brain's archive's somewhere.

those three in a series are maybe my favorites...I do make it hard on our clients...but I am not sorry!!

Anna (Bloomington Jefferson 2009) came in for her senior photos in July. We used our brick wall outside the studio and nearby Minnehaha Falls. I think we could have shot for hours and she seemed to be up for everything we suggested. These are just some of her favs with effects applied. We had a great time shooting her!!

Katy told me that she wanted to cancel her senior photo shoot on the way to our studio. Good thing her sister was with her in the car to convince her otherwise. We calmed her nerves by putting on the oldies station (her request!) and showing her some of our portrait samples. By the end of our session she had told me and Chris what a fun time she had, and we had her sister wishing she knew us last year for her senior photo session. Katy did a great job in front of the camera! Thanks for not backing out!!

Lindsay's Dress Up Day Portraits

Last Sunday Lindsay came in for her Dress Up Day Portrait Session. It was a rainy day outside, but it was warm and sunny in the studio. We started out with her more serious portaits -

Drew and Cole - Studio Portraits
Drew and Cole have to be my hardest subjects to photograph, though you couldn't tell it here. They seemed to respond to this environment really well.
These are the first portraits done in the new studio. We are really excited about the direction we are headed here, we have some beautiful light to work with from our store front window. I have started to buy some very cool light modifiers to play with this light. Next session will be killer!

Puppy Play - Pet Portraits

We have been very busy this January, this past weekend we had a wedding on Sat, A pet shoot on Sunday (thank you for the great weather!!!) and a 2 & 3.5 year old into the new studio for a session on Monday. Tommorow we are at it again with a product shoot in studio for one of our corporate clients, an interior shoot for another corporate client and a baby shoot on Saturday for Daisy and Cody who were married October 06.
Whew! On top of moving in to the new place...what a great way to start 2008!

Sometimes kids just don't want to cooperate (especially close to diner time and with a teething 7 month old!).
So we will try again in a few weeks to get a nice shot of the two of them together. For now we will laugh at the pics that we did get. They were great seperatly...

Tara and Bridger were married 2 years ago and brought little Decklin in to have some casual baby photos in the studio.
We just hung out on the couch and were able to catch these fun shots.
He is so strong and very chill. It was great to meet thier new addition.

I can't believe how time flies. Joey is already 1 year old. We had such a blast with him for his shoot.
We were at the studio with bubble gun fun, the IA B Girl B wall for "My Daddy Rocks" and the beach for his first ever trip to the beach. Chris and I were honored to be a part of the exploration of sand and water.
As usual he was fabulously photogenic!

Cole's Baptism
Had a very busy weekend.
Friday we went to dinner at Pepitos with my in laws. Of course we both got the usual - combination plate.
Saturday I met with Mary Jo & Bill for our onsite consultation. They are getting married 4/22 at Holy Childhood and the University Club DT SP. They have a trolly and we are hoping to go to Como between events. It sounds so fun, I am really excited. We met at thier church and then went to a really cute coffee shop across the street, something like Train Stop Cafe.
After that we had Cole's Baptism. This took place at Lord of Life Luthern in Maple Grove. Cole didn't cry but his big brother did when he stuck his hand in the baptismal pool while I was taking photos. Guess it wasn't quite what Drew was expecting.
The baptism is currently available on pictage.
